It's a DRUG!!

Wow - what a powerful message! You know that feeling you get when you just finished a really hard workout? Those endorphins kick in a you feel like you could conquer anything!!! When I'm in the middle of a tough work out (say Turbo Fire 55 EZ) and I just want to stop - I make myself push harder because I know that in just a few minutes I will feel like I won the lottery!

Just keep pushing, no workout lasts forever, there is a light at the end of the tunnel - so just keep going! You are NOT tired!

Is there anything you mentally tell yourself when you are just ready to quit? I keep repeating in my head -"keep going because you don't want to be fat and jiggly" - really, I do say that - ha! What do you tell yourself?

A little about me :)

Hi Everyone!
Welcome! My name is Nicki and I have two children ages three years old and four months old. I've never really been into working out or fitness and was always finding myself "on a diet".... Obviously with that mentality I wasn't reaching my goals and was ultimately setting myself up for failure. I decided that I wanted to get in control of my health and fitness, not only for myself - but for my two little ones as well. And it wouldn't hurt to be a trophy wife either right? :)
In June, after I was given the OK to work out after giving birth, I completed Jillian Michaels 30 day Shred. I was not happy with the results. The scale was not going down! I could feel little differences like in strength and stamina, but nothing monumental.
I switched over to Turbo Jam. I wasn't following the schedule, I just picked one to do that day and did it. Everyday I was working really hard, and was really pushing myself. Oh, and did I mention I took zero rest days in 60 days and was only eating about 1200 calories total? With breastfeeding and exercising I was netting about 500 calories a day! Ack!!
Ultimately, I was still not losing weight... Grr! So, instead of giving up I dug deeper to find out what the heck I was doing wrong...Through sites like Myfitnesspal and Beachbody I found I was not eating nearly enough. I also needed to be taking rest days! Oops!
Once I got into a groove of eating more and following an actual exercise program (Turbo Fire) the weight started melting off me! My daughter is 13 weeks old and I am already back to my pre-baby weight after gaining 45 lbs! I look and feel great and would love to help you as so many others helped me achieve my goals. I still have more weight to lose  to get to my pre-PRE-baby weight (what I weighed before my son was born) and I want to definitely tone up and earn a 6 pack :)
It's all trial and error because every body is different , but the basics are the same...
I'd love to work with you and help you achieve your goals, whatever they may be!
I'm still a work in progress - but yet aren't we all?
Hope to have you around for a while!!

Xoxo,
Nicki
